How it works
The pump draws water from the steel tank, through the filter and up the spout, so it falls back into the tray as a thin, moving stream. That movement is what gets a cat's attention.
On battery you pick sensor mode (the water flows for about 30 seconds when your cat comes close) or timed mode (15 seconds on, 15 minutes off). Plugged in over USB-C, it can also run nonstop.
The round window on the front shows the water level, so you know when to top up without lifting anything.

The water sits on stainless steel, not scratched plastic, and the wide tray is easy to rinse. Rinse weekly, swap the filter monthly.

It depends on the mode and how often your cat visits. Sensor mode uses the least power, because the pump only runs when your cat comes close. When it runs low, charge it with the included USB-C cable, or leave it plugged in and it can run nonstop.
Sensor mode for most homes: the water moves when your cat walks up, and the battery lasts longer. Timed mode runs 15 seconds every 15 minutes. If the fountain is near an outlet, plug it in for nonstop flow.
